Q. Where is the ice rink located?
A. We are thrilled to be based at the Marina Market on Centre Park Road in Cork City! You’ll find our ice rink set up inside the vibrant food and culture market, making it the perfect winter experience.
Q. Is parking available?
A. Yes, parking is available nearby around the Marina Market and along Centre Park Road/Kennedy Quay.
Q. How do I get there?
A. Dependent on how you’re travelling, see below:
On Foot (15–20 mins): We are a flat, scenic 15-minute walk along the docks from Patrick Street or Kent Train Station. Follow LAPPs Quay onto Kennedy Quay, which leads directly to Centre Park Road.
By Bus: Take the 202 or 202A bus from the city centre towards Mahon/Ballintemple and get off at the Centre Park Road or Blackrock Road stops (a 2 to 5-minute walk to the market entrance). The 212 bus also services the docklands route stopping nearby on Monahan Road.
By Train: If arriving at Cork Kent Station, the Marina Market is a 15-minute walk across the Brian Boru Bridge and along Kennedy Quay.
By Car & Parking: Limited on-site customer parking is available at the Marina Market (accessible via Kennedy Quay / Centre Park Road). Additional pay-and-display street parking and public car parks (such as the Q-Park City Hall) are available within a short walking distance.
Q. Do you accept carers’ cards?
A. Visitors with additional needs can bring one accompanying carer (free of charge) when they purchase a ticket. Carers’ tickets can only be purchased in person on arrival at the venue by showing a valid FCI Membership Card. They are not available to purchase online or over the phone.
Q. Is the ice skating trail wheelchair accessible?
A. Yes, it is, for both manual and powered wheelchairs.
Q. Do you run ASD friendly sessions?
A. Yes, we do. Once we have confirmed session dates and times, we will post details on our social media pages.
Q. Do you provide ice skates?
A. Yes, skate rental is included in the ticket price. You can wear your own skates but our ticket prices remain the same.
Q. What skate aids are available?
A. Our penguin skate aids are available for children under 1.2 metres in height and can only be used in the small rink area and cannot be brought on the ice skating trail.
Please pre-book your skate aids in advance to guarantee availability as our skate aids are likely to sell out.
Q. Is there safety equipment available?
A. We advise all skaters to use suitable protective gear, if required. We have a limited supply of safety equipment available at the skate desk so please ask if you require something on arrival.
Q. Do you have lockers?
A. Yes, we have single use lockers on-site. A €2 coin (non-refundable) is required to use them.
Q. Can I cancel or reschedule my tickets?
A. Tickets can be rescheduled 7 or more days prior to your booking via your customer online account. We unfortunately can’t issue credit or refunds once tickets have been purchased but you can gift your tickets to another person.
Q. Is there insurance for the event?
A. Iceskating.ie takes all reasonable care to ensure your comfort and safety, however this is an ice skating trail, where falls are likely to occur. Consequently, we do not accept any liability whatsoever for injuries sustained while ice skating. Use of the facilities is entirely at the user’s own risk and there is no insurance cover for injuries which occur while ice skating.
Q. How long does the skating session last?
A. Each skating session lasts for 50 minutes. We cannot extend the session time for those who arrive late.
Q. Is it real ice?
A. Of course, we are the Irish partners of Austrian ice rink suppliers AST. We also use ice resurfacers called zambonis to resurface our ice regularly.
Q. What is the minimum age?
A. We recommend that children from aged 3 and up can take part, once they are very solid on their feet. We recommend bringing children for a look first to see what they think as if they don’t like it on the day we cannot offer refunds or vouchers.
We have special skates with 2 blades and penguin skate aids to help.
Q. Do I need to stay on site while my kids skate?
A. Any child under the age of 12 needs to be supervised by an adult. You do not have to participate but you must stay on site.
Q. What time should I arrive?
A. We recommend arriving at the venue 20 minutes in advance of your skate session.
Q. Can I get food and drinks on site?

Q. Where is the ice rink located?
A. Ice Skating Blanchardstown is situated in Millenium Park, with access to the park behind the Drive-Thru McDonalds. There are also over 600 bus services to Blanchardstown centre every day, visit dublinbus.ie for more info.
Q. Where do I park?
A. Those travelling via car can follow signs for the White Car Park (free of charge).
