Q. What are your covid restrictions?
Cool Running Events will follow government regulations in place at the time in relation to Covid-19.

This is an indoor event and we are required to check covid certs/proof of immunity upon entry.

Covid Vaccine certs/Proof of immunity/Proof of Exemption are required upon entry to the venue. proof can be presented in one of the following methods.
– Covid Pass QR code
– Covid Vaccination Certificate
– Certificate showing recovered from COVID-19 within the previous 6 months
– Letter of Exemption signed by a Medical Professional
– Negative PCR test letter, within 72 hours
ID will also be asked for.
For under 18s, the current guidelines are that they can attend once they are with an adult who is vaccinated.
Unaccompanied minors are required to present Proof of Immunity.


Q. What are your opening dates?
Ice Skating Blanchardstown opens on Friday, November 19th, 2021, and runs until Sunday, January 30th, 2022.

Q. Do you open everyday?
Yes, we do open every day. Booking in advance is required for this event. Please ensure to check the online schedule before visiting the venue as there are some days our opening hours may vary.

Q. Will Penguins be available?
Penguins are still available and can only be used in the small rink area. Penguins can be booked for €5 per penguin and are yours to use for the entire session. Penguins are sanitised between each session..

Q. Is there parking?
Yes, parking is available at the event in the White Car Park..

Q. How do I book?
Bookings must be made in advance on our website

Q. What happens if there is traffic or delays?
Where an incident has occurred and you may be late for your session, we will do our best to accommodate you on the next skating slot that has availability.

Q. How long does the skating session last?
Each skating session last for 50 minutes. We cannot extend the session time for those who arrive late.

Q. Is there insurance for the event?
There is no insurance for injuries sustained on the ice rink.

Q. Do we have to have skates?
Skate rental is included in the ticket price. If you have your own skates there is no reduction in ticket price.

Q. Are there toilets on site?
There are toilets available for use. You will have to remove your skates for your own safety in order to use the toilets. We recommend visiting the toilets in advance of your skate.

Q. What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving at the venue 20 minutes in advance of your skate session.

Q. Is there safety equipment available?
Yes, there are helmets and protective padding available from the skate desk.

We advise the use of suitable ice skating PPE for all skaters. We advise the use of helmets, gloves, knee pads, and elbow pads. Ice skating PPE is available at the venue or you can bring ice skating PPE of your own. Please note that safety equipment will be shared but will be sanitised regularly.
